Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has told captain Son Heung-min that his squad for the Europa League final against Manchester United (May 21) must be team-first, regardless of seniority or status with the team.

Sonny has been out for several weeks with a foot injury and has just returned to shake off the rust in the 0-2 defeat to Crystal Palace. It is believed that he will be used in the starting line-up for Friday night’s match against Aston Villa (May 16).

But for the match at ทางเข้า UFABET สำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ สมัครวันนี้ รับโบนัสฟรี San Mames, Postecoglou did not promise to let the South Korean players, including Ben Davies, the two players who have been with the current team the longest, start.

“We have to start by getting Son Heung-min ready to compete first, then we can decide on the team arrangement,” he said on the official website.

“Nothing more than that.”

“One thing I know about football finals is that there are always moments or players who can turn the game around, but it all comes down to a collective effort.”

“It’s what we do as a team, more important than the individual things on that day.”

“He (Son) probably understands how important trophies are to this club, more than anyone else.”

“And especially for him personally because he had an amazing career here and he did everything.”

“But the key is that trophies are a joint effort from all the players. They know how important it is for the club and for themselves.”

“So the truth is, Sonny is back, which is good.”

“In terms of fitness, he has progressed well. We should let him play in another match against Villa on Friday. If his training is good, his physical condition is in place.”

Son joined Spurs in the summer of 2015 , with Davies joining a year earlier.
