Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes has expressed his heartfelt farewell to defender Jonathan Tah, whose contract expires, and expressed his gratitude for his professionalism during his time at the club.

The 29-year-old had just said goodbye to the Bay Arena fans at the weekend following a 4-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund and will become a free agent after June 30.

Clubs are usually reluctant to let players leave without any compensation, but in the case of the German defender, Rolfes respected the decision.

“He left the team with the status เล่นเกมคาสิโน UFABET ทันสมัย ฝากถอนง่าย of a symbolic player of the team,” he told ‘Sport Ufabet’.

“Actually, our team’s strategy is not to let players leave their contracts without any transfer fee.”

“But Jonathan Tah is an exception because he grew up as a core player for our team, so he wanted to keep him here.”

“Even though he is finally preparing to leave Bayer Leverkusen, I can only see the gratitude in the time we spent together.”

Tah, meanwhile, arrived at Leverkusen from Hamburg as a Germany U21 international all the way back in 2015, and has since made 401 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 18 goals and setting up a further 13, while also becoming a full Germany international.

At the moment, many teams are competing to sign Tah, including Manchester United , Bayern Munich , Real Madrid , and Barcelona.
